Recantations!

Thursday 5:35 a.m.
I was thinking once again that I should give up blogging. I said so in a post I wrote last night before going to bed and have just deleted it. I've enjoyed blogging and it's kept me in touch with some folk and gotten me in touch with some others, so I'll keep doing it.

It's not been the best of weeks, but things will improve!! The weather doesn't look so good either. Grim and grey and pouring down outside! Dearie me!

Hey Hotboy: you can't jack in the blogging, jack, because how else will the flatheids find their way? Reading about your chat with the Big Man at Samye, I reckon this was a diversionary feint designed to test your mettle. Don't fall for it! Ion

I enjoy your blog. I hope you'll keep at it. It often makes me think about what I'm doing and why.

Helps my learning process for sure.

My blog is just to vent my spleen. But since I know that is the reason I do it, it is fine.

Ion! I thought it was you!! Nice to see you back in the blogosphere. After speaking to the lama, at least I know now how to get to the loony bin if I ever need to do that to escape from the jobbie!!
Marie! I was not expecting to lose heart after seeing the lama, but it has thrown me a bit. I'll just have to forget about all the completion stuff and stick to the visualisations and whatnot. If you weren't reading and commenting, it would be easier to pack it in, so thanks for that!! It's not raining here just now. Hurrah!

I say!

More frequent posts about cricket would help.

Mingin'! Silly game for public school bully boys! The worst they do is throw the ball at the batter's head. Surreptitiously! Dearie me! Even rugby, which is for folk who like cheap shots, is better than creekit! Real men box! Real skill is in the footie! Hope this helps. Hotboy

here is my selfish bit: i enjoy your blog. it is how i have gotten to know you from afar. between your blog and anecdotes from Dogo, i have enjoyed learning about this person who lives a fair chunk of the U.S. and an ocean away.

Dashy! Thank you a lot for that! Sometimes there is a little despair. Sometimes perhaps caused by the impurities one imbibes; partly due to having an unfortunately funged up, big ego, but sometimes you fall down, and have to get to up, clean your robe, and get on with it. I still feel as if my toys have been taken away, but I'm getting over it. A buddha just quietly kicked my butt, but I'll grow from that, hopefully! I love your blog! Hotboy

In the course of my research on misanthropology I sometimes wonder if it would be almost as good just to mentally compose posts without actually bothering to type them. But I don't think so.

Albert? It would be better if you had to blow into a breathalyser before the computery thing let you type! Hotboy
